Private Yoga and Pilates Instruction
"The most important pieces of equipment you need for yoga are your body and your mind." Rodney Yee
At Bay Hill Mansion treat yourself to a tranquil pause from life’s hectic pace ~
Bay Hill Mansion offers peaceful luxuries and simple pleasures that slow down the pace and satiate your need for pampered peace and quiet so it it natural that we would make available as time permits the opportunity of private Yoga or Pilates classes customized to your body needs and practice level!
Whether you are a beginner or have advanced skills in Yoga and / or Pilates, you can benefit greatly from an hour or more of private professional attention to your practice. Private Pilates and Yoga instruction is a popular way to relax, discover the power of breath or generate and use energy efficiently. To enhance your stay with us, Bay Hill Mansion works with Sophie Phelps Merline, a skilled and certified Yoga and Pilates instructor, to offer private in-guestroom classes in Integrative Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Mat Pilates for up to two guests. Work on a series of poses or focus on just a few to strengthen your core, gain greater range of movement or enhance your performance in other sports like golf, tennis, cycling and surfing. Restorative Yoga hold poses longer and works to de-stress, relax and melt away worries. Mat Pilates strengthens and lengthens using only your body and some simple props. Maybe it's a combination of some or all of these disciplines that meet your needs - all in the privacy of your guestroom.
At minimum classes are 60 minutes long and are personalized to your needs. Rates are based on the number of students as well as on the length of practice:
Base Price (for up to 2 adults): $100 for 60 mins.; $120 for 75 mins. & $140 for 90 mins.
Base Price for groups of 3: $120 for 60 mins.; $145 for 75 mins & $170 for 90mins.
If you are traveling with others, larger (+3) group sessions can be accommodated elsewhere on the grounds or inside the Bay Hill Mansion if you'll just let us know in advance.
For people who just want to feel cozy, stretched, relaxed and “rejunivated” without the potential physical challenges of yoga or Pilates, Restorative Yoga is highly recommended. It is a great options for those new to yoga practice as it feels like a self-massage. “I have never encountered anybody who disliked Restorative Yoga!”
